We picked up our dog from Dachsue Kennels over Memorial Day Weekend, 2003. Countess Harriet von Goebel (we call her Harriet) is doing just great...we have attached two pictures of her to this e-mail. Harriet
is about 8 months old now and a whopping 6 pounds! Although she has
not grown much taller in the past few months, she is definitely a lot
longer. Harriet is a happy puppy who loves to play; her favorite toy
is a stuffed squirrel that squeaks. She loves to eat, and runs circles
around the room when we give her food. She also loves to chew on everything
in site, chase after our 14 pound cat, steal dirty laundry from the
basket, and jump up on the couch. We had a wonderful experience with the Rentfrows. We knew we wanted a long-haired female mini dachshund and were able to pick Harriet out from pictures on their web site They answered all questions and promptly returned phone calls. They know tons about the breed. They sent us updated photos of our puppy every week until we picked her up. Visiting their "dachshund farm" was tons of fun! Sue led us on a tour of the kennel and introduced us to all the parents. She even pointed out their special features, personalities and talents. It was obvious that she knew her dogs well and loved them. We were then able to visit the puppies and the mothers in the basement. They were so adorable... I wanted to take them all home and start my own dachshund farm! The facilities were very clean and the dogs were well cared for. The Rentfrows gave us all of Harriet's papers and wonderful "puppy care" instructions, plus a starter food kit. They took time to get to know us and welcomed us into their home. They even called to check on Harriet a few days later. Their prices are also very reasonable. Although Harriet cried when she had to leave her brothers and sisters and all the other wiener dogs on the farm, she quickly became used to life in the suburbs. She has added so much joy to our lives, too. Sincerely, |
